Summary

petsum has no server, no account, and no login. Nothing you put into this app is sent to the developer. Your photos, your pet's name, and your settings stay on your iPhone.

Two small values leave your device: a count of how many free photo registrations you have used and a random device identifier. They go only to your own iCloud, which the developer cannot read.

Photos

When you pick a photo directly, iOS shows the picker in a separate process and hands the app only the photo you chose. The app never sees the rest of your library, and no permission prompt is needed.

If you choose an album as a source for photos your pet can bring you, iOS asks for photo library access. Full access is required because reading a list of albums is not possible with limited access. The app reads only the album you selected.

Photos you save, and the cropped or background-removed versions the app creates, are stored inside the app's own container on your iPhone. They are never uploaded.

What stays on your device

All of it is removed when you delete the app.

What leaves your device

Two small values: the number of free photo registrations you have used and a random identifier that distinguishes one of your devices from another. Both are stored in your own iCloud key-value storage, under your Apple ID.

The developer has no access to that storage and receives no copy of it. It exists so the free count survives getting a new phone. If iCloud is turned off on your device, nothing is stored there and the count is kept only on the device itself.

Your photos, your pet's name, and your settings are never included.

Deleting the app

Deleting petsum removes your photos, your pet profile, and your settings from your iPhone.

If iCloud is on, the free registration count is not removed. It remains in your iCloud, so reinstalling the app does not restore free registrations. The developer cannot read or remotely delete it. If iCloud is off, the count exists only on the device and is removed with the app, so reinstalling starts with five free registrations again.

Purchases

petsum offers one non-consumable purchase that unlocks unlimited photo registrations. Apple processes the payment. The developer operates no receipt server and never sees your payment details, name, or address.

Restoring purchases asks Apple whether your Apple ID already owns the product. No account is created and no personal information is exchanged with the developer.

Notifications

Notifications are scheduled locally on your device. There is no push server, so no device token or notification content is transmitted anywhere.

Third parties

petsum includes no third-party SDKs, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. It does not use the App Tracking Transparency framework because it has nothing to track. No data is shared with data brokers or any other party.

Children

petsum does not collect personal information from anyone, including children, so there is no age-based collection to restrict.

Your rights

Because the developer holds none of your data, there is nothing to request access to, correct, export, or delete. You control everything directly:
